Campus Advocacy Committee
The Campus Advocacy Committee aims to serve the needs of Lambda members and to make the law school a more welcoming and affirming space for all LGBTQ people. We hope to support you during your time as students here, and to improve WSRSL for future generations of LGBTQ law students. Projects by this committee include:
Community Service Committee
Lambda’s Community Service Committee organizes projects for Lambda members and other WSRSL students to give back to the LGBTQ community. Projects include:
Political Committee
Lambda’s political committee fosters critical debate on LGBTQ issues in and out of the law school by hosting speakers to discuss critical and novel LGBTQ issues and co-sponsoring events with other student and local organizations that touch on issues relevant to the LGBTQ community.
Professional Committee
The Professional Committee provides information for the Lambda community about professional opportunities in an effort to help students explore a variety of avenues for future legal careers. We aim at connecting Lambda members with practicing attorneys through alumni and other networks.
Social Committee
Lambda's Social Committee is responsible for fostering community by hosting social events and gatherings. Examples of events include:

- Advocating for more LGBTQ legal courses and clinics
- Hosting pre-law symposiums for LGBTQ students interested in attending law school
- Working with administration to improve mental health services
- Coordinating Continued Legal Education (CLE) on various topics to include the use of gender pronouns
- Cultural competency training
- Hosting pre-law symposiums for LGBTQ students interested in attending law school
- Coordinating with upper campus LGBTQ organizations
Community Service Committee
Lambda’s Community Service Committee organizes projects for Lambda members and other WSRSL students to give back to the LGBTQ community. Projects include:
- General volunteering and organizing of community events
- Assisting the Hawai'i Health and Harm Reduction Center (HHHRC) with weekly food drives throughout the island
- Assisting the HHHRC in putting together wound care supplies for nurse practitioners
- Conducting research for LGBTQ organizations
- Assisting with sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing
